Broadway Barks
A percentage of the proceeds from the sale of every Pet Teek™ Pet Carrier will be allocated to Broadway Barks.
Founded by Bernadette Peters and Mary Tyler Moore, the foundation’s mission is to focus on the plight of homeless animals and educate pet owners on responsible pet ownership. They currently work with numerous shelters and rescue groups, as well as help special animals that need medical attention.
Broadway Barks originally began as a program to promote the adoption of shelter animals, but it has now evolved into much more. It has become an event that has not only focused on the plight of homeless animals but has opened the door of communication and fostered a spirit of community among the numerous rescue and shelter groups working throughout the city. Previously many of these groups struggled in anonymity and isolation, left to fund raise and promote their cause on their own in a job which is emotionally draining.
Broadway Barks works towards continuing in the path already established as well as focusing more attention on education, targeting such areas as responsible pet ownership, spay/neuter, and the importance of pet identification.
